Sydney Senter is a decorated trampoline gymnastics athlete, coach, and business owner whose journey reflects both excellence in sport and resilience beyond competition. As a Board Member of Beyond The Game Alliance, Sydney brings a unique perspective shaped by her own transition out of elite athletics and her commitment to mentoring the next generation.
From 2008 to 2021, Sydney represented the United States on the world stage as a trampoline and double mini athlete. She is a 7-time U.S. National Team member, 3-time National Champion, 4-time World Age Group medalist, and the 2019 Women’s Double Mini Team World Champion. While her competitive achievements are remarkable, Sydney is most impacted by the lessons she learned in the transition away from elite sport—navigating identity, purpose, and self-worth beyond performance.
Today, she channels those lessons into her work as the Owner and Head Coach of Hawaii Trampoline Senter, where she develops athletes not only in their physical skills but in confidence, resilience, and character. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Hawai‘i, further equipping her to support athletes in their mental and emotional development.
Sydney’s leadership extends beyond the gym. In high school, she served as Class President at Hawaii Baptist Academy and chaired the National Honor Society’s Special Olympics Committee. She also participated in BTGA’s Beta 8-Week Program in 2024, an experience that deepened her belief in the importance of building systems that see athletes as whole people.
Rooted in her Hawaiian values of kuleana—responsibility and care—Sydney believes that empowering athletes means helping them recognize that their greatness doesn’t end when competition does; it evolves. Her story and perspective continue to inspire athletes to lean into the process, embrace their humanity, and rise stronger on the other side of sport.
