Meet Coach Shaunna

Shaunna Parker is a dedicated coach, mentor, and community leader whose passion for empowering young people shines through in everything she does. As a Board Member of Beyond The Game Alliance, Shaunna brings years of experience in youth coaching, nonprofit leadership, and career development to help athletes grow both in sport and in life.

Shaunna has coached basketball, softball, and soccer at the youth level, instilling teamwork, discipline, and confidence in her athletes. Her leadership extends well beyond the playing field, having served for 19 years on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Horseman’s Association—holding roles from board member to president, and continuing today as an active supporter and advisor. She also volunteers with the New York State High School Rodeo Association, where she provides interview and resume coaching along with career development support for high school students.

Professionally, Shaunna works in Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development, where she helps individuals unlock their potential and gain the tools needed to succeed. With expertise in fundraising, finance, marketing, education, and nonprofit management, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for service to every organization she supports.

Shaunna is deeply inspired by the mission of Beyond The Game Alliance and believes strongly in the importance of giving athletes resources that go beyond competition—whether through mental strength training, conditioning, leadership development, or communication skills. Her commitment is unwavering: “Whether I am on the board or not, I am committed to helping this organization be everything I know it can be.”

With her blend of coaching, professional expertise, and nonprofit leadership, Shaunna is a driving force in ensuring athletes have the support they need to succeed both now and in their next chapters.
