Our Youth Needs More Female Coaches:

As of 2022, only 26% of youth sports head coaches were women, a slight increase from 24% in 2019. This indicates that the majority of youth sports coaches, even in girls' leagues, are men.

Science Builds a Case for Women:

Studies show that women coaches may be more attuned to the mental health, body image issues, and communication preferences of female athletes (Voelker et al., 2019).

Women keep kids in the game:

According to research from the Canadian Journal for Women in Coaching, female coaches often build cultures rooted in care, inclusion, and empowerment, leading to improved athlete retention and wellbeing.

We can't leave it to chance:

Studies show that when girls don’t have access to women coaches, they don’t envision themselves as leaders or decision-makers in sport (LaVoi & Dutove, 2012).
